6 Signs Your Gutters Need Replacing, Not Just Cleaning
Some gutter problems clear up with a cleaning. Others mean the system is done. Here’s how to tell them apart.

A cleaning fixes a clog. It won’t fix a gutter that has pulled away from the house or rusted through. Look for these signs from the ground:
- Sagging sections or gutters pulling away from the fascia
- Rust spots, cracks, or holes in the trough
- Water dripping from seams even when the gutter is clear
- Peeling paint or rot on the fascia board behind the gutter
- Pooling water or erosion along the foundation
- Water spilling over the front edge because the pitch is wrong
If you see two or more, a free on-site estimate will tell you whether a repair makes sense or a new seamless system is the better value.
